My final sketches - the process

Ok this was probably the most time consuming thing so far in the project but I got the results I wanted, here is the process:
1) It started off with me spending some time sketching out the characters to how I liked them, I'm not going to lie I liked drawing thats the one thing that I really miss from doing this course. Below are the examples of the scanned images that I drew.

Those are just a few I have done a few more but you can get the idea.

2) My next aim was to make the drawings stand out a bit more so with a lot of patience I had to carefully go around the sketches creating a black outline making them look a bit bolder.

As you can see the image stands out a lot more but still maintains a cartoon/sketchy look. I would estimate that each sketch took a good hour just to outline the drawings so for those of you thinking that it was easy you can think again.

3) Finally I added colour to make them the pretty images that they are today, I am pleased with how they look because to me they are the early stages of how the animations would look, I know that some people will think that it would look better with the actual images but once I explain what my aim is then maybe they will understand the reason for why I have done it.

Hope you like them all to do now is put them all together on Dreamweaver!!
