Well the brief says to keep up to date with what we do throughout this project via our blog so lets see what I've been up to last week. Well Monday came and it was straight to work my first aim was to create the user interface on 3D Max. This took me a few days however after rendering the piece there were a few things that I was not happy with.
Above was my first render but there were quite a few problems that made me think that this could not be my final render. Like my avatar video I thought that it was a bit jerky and was definately not the look that I was going for. another problem that I noticed was that there was no user face screen. I had the laptop all ready however there was no desktop screen that the users could see. So when I next render I would like to make the animation less jerky and have a desktop screen created ready for the viewers to see.
I also created an idea for a user screen (the screen on the laptop) I had created this on 3D Max as well. I got the idea from the 'Sony Bravia' website however with the time I have left and with the little knowledge that I know of flash CS3 I doubt I could have got the results in time.
I like the effects but I need to get to know this software first before I can work on the more complicated stuff.
This is the new image that I plan to use for my user screen. I think that I will lose all of the small icons because that will take the attention away from the interactive parts.
Over the weekend I plan to create the icons for my interactive pieces, make the pieces for my puzzle (still waiting for my code for this piece) and create the maps for my photo album ready to be rendered on Monday so fingers crossed with that.
